We've rebuilt the hosted waitlist page from a single fixed form into a real section-based page builder. You can now compose your launch page the way you'd compose a landing page — section by section — without leaving LaunchList and without writing a line of code.
What's new
Section-based layouts
Your hosted page is now made up of stackable sections. Each one is added, removed, reordered, hidden, and configured on its own. We're shipping with five section types out of the gate:
- Hero — headline, subtitle, CTA, optional logo.
- Features — a tile grid for the key things you're shipping.
- How It Works — a numbered walk-through of your launch flow.
- FAQ — collapsible questions for the things people always ask.
- Form — the signup form, with all your existing fields, count, and leaderboard support.
Two starter templates
Brand new waitlists are greeted with a template picker so you don't start from a blank canvas. Pick one and you're already 80% of the way there:
- SaaS — Hero → Features → How It Works → FAQ → Form.
- Mobile App — tuned copy and order for app launches.
Already had a hosted page set up? We seed the new builder with your existing content automatically — your headline, subtitle, colors, and form all carry over, untouched.
Per-section settings panel
Click any section in the builder and a settings panel slides out with just the fields that matter for that block — Hero copy, feature tiles, FAQ question/answer pairs, and so on. Each change saves as you type.
Reorder, toggle, remove
Rearrange sections with the up/down controls. Toggle the eye icon to hide a section without losing its content. Remove a section entirely when you don't need it. Add a fresh one any time from the section list.
Page-level settings, in one place
Colors, background, button color and text color, count visibility, leaderboard, social links, referral source label, and SEO (indexable toggle, custom title, custom description) all live in a single Page Settings panel — no more hunting across tabs.
Live preview
The preview pane updates in real time as you tweak section copy, toggle visibility, or change colors — no save-and-refresh dance.
Improvements
Form fields stay put when validation errors appear
On hosted pages and embedded widgets with inline submit buttons, an "email is required" message used to nudge neighboring fields and the submit button down a few pixels. We've top-aligned mixed-label rows and added invisible label spacers so inputs sit at the same vertical level whether or not an error is showing. No more layout jumps.
Polish across the public sections
Spacing, typography, and color contrast were tightened across all five public section partials (Hero, Features, How It Works, FAQ, Form) and the builder UI itself. Hosted pages feel meaningfully more "designed" by default — even before you change a single color.
"Hosted Page" → "Page Builder"
The waitlist tab previously labeled Hosted Page is now Page Builder, and the BETA badge has come off. It's stable, it's the default for new waitlists, and it's where all future hosted-page work will land.
Backward compatibility
This is the part we want to call out clearly: existing hosted pages keep rendering exactly as they did. If your waitlist doesn't have section data yet, we serve the legacy hosted-page template unchanged. The new section-based renderer only kicks in once you open the Page Builder and either pick a template or let us auto-seed sections from your existing settings. Your customer-facing URLs don't change, and embedded widgets are unaffected.
What's next
This release is Phase 1. We're already lining up more section types (testimonials, logo strip, countdown, video), more templates per category, and per-section visual styling — fonts, padding, alignment. If there's a section you want to see next, hit reply and tell us.
